I don’t like valentines day.
It makes single people feel bad. It makes people feel inadequate if their not in a perfect relationship. What is that anyway? It makes people sad and depressed. It makes a lot of useless mess and waste. Really, whats the point of it? If you love someone, tell them, everyday. If you don’t, then don’t. I know some people find it hard to say the word, but if you really feel it deep down inside, then say it.
Or do something nice to show the person how you feel. Don’t buy then some stupid empty gesture. I think v.d. was invented by teenagers. All I saw at the shopping centre were teens with stupid teddies and chemical roses in plastic. It was really annoying.
I think there needs to be a singles day. Single people need to celebrate and be celebrated. Women over 30 aren’t spinsters anymore! They can live exciting lives and be independent without men. I know this will be a surprise to some people, especially some men, but women can do more than birth babies and wash clothes.
I’m a fan of Sex in the city because I like the friendships. I’m not a fan of how many men they are with, but that’s my personal preference. I’m still in love with Austen and Olde England, and I sometimes wish we could go back there. I love Pride and prejudice. Matthew Macfadyen is handsome and I love the clothes they wear in the movie.
But, they also have bare, unpolished wooden floors, no carpet, women can’t work, they are sometimes forced to marry men they don’t want to and they can’t vote. Sometimes I complain about voting, not knowing who to vote for and the hassle of going out of my way to a school I would never normally go near, but, I would rather have that, than to be standing outside a fence looking in at the men lining up to vote.
More women are staying single now than ever before, so to help them and also single men celebrate, we should have a singles day. No cats allowed
